If you are considering whether to buy a vinyl banner or some other type of sign for a special occasion or event, you may have been confused most by the type of banner size chart that is displayed in the print shop or online business. These charts can be confusing because they come in so many varieties, and sometimes in different units of measurements. The trick is knowing which type of banner size chart you are looking at and understanding how to read it so that you don’t end up with the wrong size banner. The Scale Sizes This is probably the most useful of the different types of banner size charts available today. The scale sizes charts are made up of small scale-sized outlines of the different size banners that are available by that particular business. Inside each outline is the dimensions of the banner and what type/name it is given by the particular company. By using this banner size chart you can see exactly what your banner would look like when printed, whether it be very long and narrow or more square-like in shape and nature. Pay close attention to measurements, however, because though you can see the shape you still won’t want a 13 inch square banner versus a 13 foot square one. The List Another popular type of banner size chart is the list type. This chart is a simple list, usually in numeric order by the width of the banner, that states the standard banner sizes available to the customers. These lists are usually fairly easy to read, though there can sometimes be confusion when you may look at the wrong number in the list by accident. And again, there is always the danger of confusion when the units of measurement aren’t clearly stated in the dimensions, so be careful once again with those. Overall however these size charts can be quite useful. The Table One of the most well-known types of banner size charts available is that of the table. This is a standard table with an X and Y axis each, with the widths available down one side and the lengths across the other. The table form of banner size chart makes it easy for the customer ordering the vinyl banners to look across from the width they would like and see what is available in terms of length. Though it is important to stay on the right line as one looks across, these can be invaluable for a quick reference to what sizes are available and which options aren’t. No matter which form of banner size chart you come across in your shopping adventures, it is important to keep in mind to look at the units of measurement and always double check before you place your final order, ensuring you get what you really wanted the first time.
